The new website layout is completed and ready to be filled in, which means that the portion that was dependent on the recent website designer is complete. Not bad, all things considered! The second part however, which is transferring all content from here to the new site, is something I have to do on my own.

I don't have much free time during the week, which leaves me with weekends, and I don't want to cram what little free time I have into doing nothing but content transferring, so rather than rush it, I'd like to try to have the new website presentable before the month ends. Even if I chip away at it, I think I can get 90% of it in by then. Confusing though this current layout may be, make no mistake there's a LOT of content on this site. I'll probably do Articles last or something, not sure if anyone's even reading those...

They say life is suffering, but at least you won't suffer the "agony" of waiting for an update any longer. Again, it's pretty lean content wise as to keep the majority to the newer site (also I won't have to worry much about parity), which seems to be on track for next month. I'd have to relearn how to make updates, so it might be helpful to have a backlog for practing purposes. I'm excited, anxious, and feeling some slight dread, in that as much as this site desparately needs to align itself with the current internet, it will take a lot of work on my side to get everything back up again, and that... sounds like... fun...

Though I should have mentioned it earlier, I have a new, much more promising web designer, and there is a new version of the site currently in development which should actually arrive soon (the literal "soon" and not the figurative """soon"""). For that reason, once again I'm withholding some content (as if I hadn't learned my lesson last time), that may have already been posted on other accounts, and I don't have a lot of time to update. However, I do need to get two time sensitive things on here:

This news post comes from Nidorina's Aqua Bunny.]]> It's a bit of a bittersweet Valentine's Day this year. It would be nice if all I had to bring were treats, but perhaps we'll save the sugar to help kill the aftertaste of the bitter pill, so let's start with the bad news. Much to no one's surprise at this point, I'm certain, I have terminated the working relationship between me and the web designer (that I've held on to for far too long, which is unfair for everyone who put up with 2018's dry year), and the new site as it was being designed is cancelled. Long story short, sometimes you just have to cut the cord. Holding on to the thought that it could happen just becomes unhealthy and perhaps delusional after a while, while everything else around you deteriorates.

What's next, then? Well, for the time being we're still stuck here, but the positive is that I feel like my autonomy has returned. I no longer have to withhold content because I'm being told week after week that it's going to be the one. Even if we're still here, I can still make the most of it and get back to regular updates. I'm not web design savvy, but I'll make some quality of life improvements where I can, like overhauling the Multimedia page so that it's not just a sea of undescriptive text.

I will also continue to look for another option. Whether this means finding someone else or just moving everything over to Wordpress myself or some such, a new website will happen in 2019 if I have to stay up past midnight and learn html5 myself. That's how Aqua Bunny got started, isn't it? The do-it-yourself attitude is the foundation of this website and it hasn't gone anywhere.

First off, as you may be aware if you're in the US of A, it's Mother's Day, and you know I'm not missing that.

Next, Dumb Big Sister, Stupid Little Sister Production Set 2 ends Thursday. And after it wraps up, I'm going to want to get the comics on the site pronto, so there'll be another update over the next weekend at the latest. Then of course there'll need to be a Monthly Nidoran, and if I'm up to it, I'll get back to updating major comics like She's One of A Kind, Kine this month, too. With DBS completely out the way, it provides me with a window I can fill with something else (or not and perhaps get something else done quicker. That always sounds great, but as a one man show, it's not always reasonable).

Only time will tell how the rest of this months goes content wise, but you can at least count on DBS2 and Monthly Nidoran to be updated soon enough!

It's not very often you get two holidays rolled into the same day, and of course it's my job to capitalize on that while this site is still active. Granted I didn't try all that hard and try to turn the site into an Easter theme for the day, but it's still something.

After all, you should expect Monthly Nidoran photos, at the very least (which I DO have, but we'll get to that later). However, I was hoping for the new site to be completed a long time ago, and as of now it still has not happened. While it is out of my hands, I do feel like I should apologize at the least for not being more open about it, but just like you, I was also waiting, thinking "maybe it'll come this day, maybe it'll come this day" until eventually the interest is lost, and it's saying something when the site owner starts losing interest, too.

The way things are going, I may still be stuck with this version of the site for a while, so there's no point in trying to withhold content to make it easier on the development end when development has been at a standstill for months. So, I will put it out there that if I don't get results by the end of the month, I will have to start over from square one and try somebody else. It's unfortunate that you all had to wait this long for nothing, and again, I'm sorry. I don't know what else I can do at this time, but an ultimatium has been set, so you know one way or another, what's in the immediate future.

Each of the Galleries has some sort of story or comic, including an exciting update to She's One of a Kind, Kine. It's time to bring the pain, and I don't mean your checking statement for the month when you realize how much you've spent for the holidays.

Hey, drawing fights is hard, especially when you hate it! Speaking of comics, Dumb Big Sister, Stupid Little Sister will be starting up again in January, so get ready for more cute fun at the start of the new year! Since it's nearly two days after the anniversary date, I should stop yappin' and start mentioning what's new.

FAN ART: Poke Island Series updated.
CHARACTERS/INFO introduced as the new replacement for CHARACTER BIOS. This leads to a wikia called Pastel Poison, which is for Nido stuff, but mostly within fandoms. As wikis are public, if you have a series, you are free to add to it, but make sure they follow the guidelines found on the main page. Also? I'm not a wiki designer! Think you can make a better layout than me? Sure you can! Hit me up if you want to create something better.

It takes a long time to write articles and make unique artwork for Pastel Poison, but you'll find this addition worth it. Not only will it explain things that have so far lacked an explanation, but it'll house the newest reference sheets for characters, and as an exclusive bonus, I'll finally provide the full story to Carmela: ALE so that anyone still holding out can finally sleep, having some closure. This was supposed to be included prior to this update, but again, wiki work takes far more effort than it appears.

Seeing as the front page of Pastel Poison tells you what's been updated, and how I'll continue to update during the week, check back to find out more about Poke Island characters and Carmela's story as I gradually fit as much as I can in. Finally, I'm doing art trades again. Check this post for details!

• 2015-16's Winter animation, the one where I stated "I'm posting these Poke Legends comics for context" back around that time is finally finished. It's sort of an animated glimpse at the island, with a lot of characters, even one shots (not that you'd know). With that, MULTIMEDIA updated with I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm, including a Youtube link and a Dailymotion link for those who can't view the former. And speaking of, I know I have a Vimeo account too, but I think uploading a video with a Bette Midler song would result in an insta-flag under the new Vimeo policy. To be honest, I'm not sure how much mileage that account is gonna get now...

• Ittibits is now live (for real, in a manner of speaking). This is mostly an endeavor I've started to sell cute, silly things worldwide, because I'm the type of person who wants to bring people stuff that makes them smile. However! It doubles as, and would immensely help as, a supportive way to help me work on projects such as the above and the below. Check it out! It's small for now, but eventually I want to branch out into a lot of different products using original designs.

• Also? Definitely take this survey. It is mutually beneficial.

• Finally, I'm officially working on an indie game project known as Alpha-Vitae. Details are scant because I'm not exactly at a place where I want to give it too much attention. Yes, Poke Legends is the third part of the Poke Island series, which people have asked about enough times. However, because these comics are the originals with clean up edits, well, don't expect them to be fantastic. They're really old.

For starters, I couldn't quite finish any comic pages in time (it's a really hard story for me to slog through, interest wise), but that's because what you get instead is a very arty update! Everything here is really artistic, so hopefully there'll be some visual works that aren't just doodles to make up some of that time. Ideally I'll be back to a regular schedule from here on. There's still some artwork coming through the experimentation phase, and the comic pages are in progress of clean up, but it's hard to prioritize drawing Pokemon you don't care about doing the part of the games that no longer interests you over fun illustrations of characters. The plan is to have at least a page of the comic done for the next update, but I really want to finish my animation sooner than later because I already have to move on to the Christmas short (which I began last year). Fortunately that one's theorically easier, and it'd be nice if I could get two done in a year. On the other hand, I really want to get SOOAKK done before the Christmas animation, too. The current story is such a painful roadblock. Once it's done, it's just fun with characters from here out, and no more forced drawings of Pokemon battles.

Also, I'll be selling Nintendo buttons again, with new updated designs and characters. More details on that as it comes.

And no one was surprised, which is unfortunate considering even Bulbasaur got a makeover (coming off of XY, though, my expectations were a teensy bit higher...).

Considering the timing, why not put the two of them together and make it an event?

Granted, the return is a substantial amount of fan art, which is a fair trade. If you've been paying attention on Tumblr then you've seen it all before, so this is both for archival purposes and to provide larger scale versions of images.

FAN ART: Others updated. While I could have separated these into appropriate series categories, it would wreck the theme and the order of the artwork, so they have to be lumped together. I've provided series notes for each description, though some go without saying.

I've also bought more old Yamashita comics, so hopefully I'll find some more Nido nuggets. If not, it's mostly inevitable that he'll do his take on X and Y, and since Nidos are actually in the game and not stored away at the end somewhere, it's a good time for him to put them back into use! As far as X/Y findings go, besides egg moves and movesets there's not a whole lot different. Even the Pokedex entry for Nidoran seems to catch on to how ridiculous it's getting by saying his ears flap around like wings.

I will, though, make a new article for the Pokemon-amie, the best thing to happen to Pokemon since Pokemon. That'll come eventually. It's not top priority, but it'll be fun to dig into, and it's interesting what kind of design decisions were made for the 3D models, such as Nidoran Female having a trace of anatomy again (as well as not being fidgety, and being cute again unlike that 3D Pro atrocity). I'll miss feminine Nidoqueen from Stadium (the best version, iMO), but definitely not hag Nidorina.

So yeah. Pokemon site. I'm sure you guys have all seen the Nintendo feed for E3. The important thing is that Mega Man will be in Smash Bros. I must admit I got really excited at the idea behind Pokemon-Amie. I mean seriously, why the heck couldn't I ever really bond with or even interact with Pokemon before in a GAME CALLED POKEMON? I always hated that, but oh my God, I love this feature already. If this mode is robust and Nidos are in this game, confirmed for purchase, no questions asked. I probably won't be battling, just playing with Nidorina all day long. X3

]]> Yikes! Sorry for the long time between updates. I had one heck of a killer class last month that left me with no time to do anything, really, except very slowly work on a few things. So what was I supposed to show at the end of February? It's not done, no surprises, seeing as that's when things got crazy. But, it is related to the fact that Aqua Bunny now has a Vimeo account. Man, I'm just gettin' involved in all sorts of networks, aren't I? There's even more changes and additions than that...

First, let's talk Tumblr. The Almost Daily Gallery been getting a bit more active lately, which I enjoy, but I'm not one to count chickens before they hatch. However, one thing that's been brought to my attention is doing an "ask so-and-so" routine, which not only sounds fun, but I've seen a few too, and they look like something I can really get behind. Would you be intrested? Check this out for more, and let me know. Cool?

MAIL/SUBMIT: Altered Submission Guidelines, as there are new exceptions. It was already an unofficial change I spoke with some people about, but now I'm making it 100% official.
FAN ART: Nidoran Male and Alternate Universe updated. New policy already in effect.
MULTIMEDIA: Animated Movies updated. Also, link to Minimalist Valentine's changed. I'll need to update this entire page's layout for next time. (PS: Turn HD on for the Vimeo videos, guys).

There's a lot of maintenence I have to do, still, and the animation treat I'll hopefully have done sooner than later (Rain was an experimental time killer while I was away from my main computer). Secondly, I've found the submission form isn't working anymore via word of mouth and my own testing. Actually, it's been acting funny for a while, so I'd say if you've submitted anything between now and back in August, or if you want to submit something, attach the file along with a title and description and send it to patkdeb[@]gmail.com (remember to remove the brackets). When I'm "live" again, I'll see what I can do to fix the mailer, or just update to a new system entirely.
